Combines phosphorescent and fluorescent properties
A new type of phosphorescent agent
MN-Light absorbs light energy from white fluorescent lamps, white LED lights, sunlight, etc., and releases it in the dark. Once light is stored, the light emits itself, so no power source is required. The stored light is gradually released, but if it is exposed to light again, the light storage will be repeated.
Differences between phosphorescent/reflective/fluorescent
and how they appear
Fluorescent : Reacts to light, making it appear bright in bright places.
Phosphorescent : It emits stored light energy and emits natural light, so it appears to glow in the dark.
How you see in bright and dark places
Water-resistant phosphorescent pigments
Comparison with general phosphorescent pigments
Conventional phosphorescent pigments are vulnerable to water and undergo chemical changes even when submerged in water for a short period of time, causing them to no longer emit light. The phosphorescent pigments used in MN-Light have the unique feature of not undergoing chemical changes even when submerged in water for a long period of time.
Application of MN-Light
Installation at emergency exits
This is a proposal for phosphorescent lighting for emergency exits. If emergency exit lights are already installed, we recommend attaching additional emergency exit signs less than 1m above the floor.
In the event of a disaster, even doors that you are accustomed to using may be opened and closed in the wrong direction, so we recommend attaching a doorknob ring and push/pull stickers to the doorknob.
Installation on the floor
If you are sticking it on the floor, we recommend sticking phosphorescent tape as an evacuation guide line. Even in the event of a power outage, people can evacuate safely by moving within the evacuation guide line.
*Please do not place any objects on the evacuation route (inside the lines).
Other Installations
If fire extinguishing equipment is installed along an evacuation route, we recommend attaching a fire extinguisher sticker to the fire extinguisher itself. Make it clear where the fire extinguisher is by pasting the fire extinguisher sticker.
